We have lucked out and had three straight days of spring-like weather. (Sick of us talking about spring yet) The best thing in my opinion with this season transition, is the feeling that I have a whole new wardrobe with pieces that have been hibernating in the back of my closet through the cold. It’s still a touch chilly, although in this college town 50° literally means the sidewalks are swarming with individuals wanting to soak up the vitamin D in shorts and tanks. Call me wimpy or just plain old, but I need temps a little closer to 80° before I’m committing to that level of warm weather wardrobe. (Say that fast five times) A little light spring layering with a white blazer was more my style for this weekend’s temps. White pieces are absolutely essential because of their versatility. It’s spring’s version of black. I wear white pants with everything in warmer temps, and now I’ll be mixing a white blazer in as well. I love the neutral feel of this look, enough of a spring feel without throwing on my neon skinnies and screaming it to the world. Pastels and a punch of white was safe for the last 6th grade basketball game of the season, running errands or a little night out. (the heels however, are NOT conducive to running errands)
Let’s talk for a second about the statement necklace. I love the lack of symmetry and the bold touches of color. This is definitely the most eclectic piece of jewelry I own, and probably one that I will grab to wear with just about everything. Think about how easily this dresses up any tee whether it’s white, bright, neutral or black there’s no wrong answer when it comes to this necklace.
